4 Lucrative Ways to Earn Through Blogs
The 4 main methods to generate cash from your online blogging business is through advertisements, affiliate marketing, E-books, or other products you offer, and sponsored posts. You can increase the income you earn by using more than one of the methods I have mentioned below and combining them to make the most money. Of course, to start off, I would focus on one key method and gain experience in that and make sure you’re proficient in that method then working on another method on top of that after. For the best results, you must ensure that you take notice of the traffic quantity and quality that you achieve before employing my blogging tips.
For High-Density Traffic:
I have decent traffic on my blog so I can consider using any of the four mentioned routes, but focused on one from the start and built my blog up from there. Honestly, right now the most I focus on is still my traffic and driving high quality traffic to my blog and throw in some affiliate offers on the way from teachers that taught me how to do this. Like me, the world is your oyster, and make what you can of it!
For Low-Density Traffic:
When I started my blogging business, I had very little traffic and I wasn’t garnering many views either. If you have a similar following, the first two blogging tactics will be more profitable for you. Be patient and consistent and you will pave the way to blogging success in no time.
It is time to delve deeper into my tried and tested methods to start earning from blogs. It will help you in garnering a greater quality audience, more clicks, or sales as well. I have been working diligently in the blogging space and reading up on the latest info-pieces. I hope my knowledge helps you on your blogging venture. Let’s go!
1. Using Display Ads:
I often used to see ads on websites. Through research and experience I have uncovered the power of Google AdSense. You can make money from these ads as well. AdSense allows you to choose which ads appear on your blog and where they go. So how does it convert into money? Whenever someone clicks on these ads, you will get paid. For example, if my site gets 4000 views and my click rate is 2% at 90 cents per click for my niche, I can earn over $50. Tools like SEMrush can help you in finding out which niche has more audience and will be more profitable. AdSense calculates the annual earning of a blog based on topic and audience. For instance, blogs about finance can make $40,500 a year with 100,000 monthly page views.
2. Repurpose Your Content Into E-books:
When I started off with my personal website, a thought struck my mind: what if I re-use this content through an entirely different medium to gain more audience and increase my clicks. Like me, many bloggers turn their blog posts into an eBook and put it on sale on Amazon. This is a great avenue to generate some passive income in the writing business. If your content tone suits a video format, then going down that avenue may also garner cash fast through YouTube and reels. You can actually check out one of my teachers e-books she offers right here that offers insights on getting traffic and making money with your blog!
3. Affiliate Marketing
Bloggers who talk about products can benefit from affiliate marketing. Or it can be indirectly related to a product on another website. For example, if I have a blog about money management, I could link to a calculator on Amazon. If someone clicks my link and buys it, I earn a commission. A single sale could bring in from a few dollars to hundreds. You can join affiliate networks like ShareASale or Amazon Associates which can help in finding products. Many bloggers like Hogue earn thousands of dollars monthly from their affiliate blogs. I have a great article right here that offers tons of info on how to make money with affiliate marketing!
4.Sponsors
Companies are willing to pay their niche bloggers a fixed amount for sponsoring their product. For example, a credit card company might pay me to write about saving money by using their credit card. This blog will contain a buying link which will lead the audience to their website. For low-traffic blogs, getting such offers is not very common. However, if you have a high-traffic blog, be sure to ask for a handsome amount from the sponsor. With more traffic, increase your asking price. You can find these opportunities on ad networks or by contacting potential sponsors.
No matter which pathway you choose for your blog, you must remember that blogging is a slow business. It takes time to gain traffic and one needs to exercise patience. Reaching the top of SERPs requires hard work and time. I have always strived to be a learner and educate myself further within the blogging space. It is better to write in a niche you care about as it will help in the writing process and staying patient.
